Little Flower Playgroup

Our Projects to date.

We embarked on a a series of projects to improve our grounds in 2004. To date we have installed new perimiter fencing, this project was completed in 2004 and funding was procured from Children in Need and the Sisters of Mercy. In 2005 we purchased a new, large and secure shed for storing our outdoor play equipment. We were helped in no small way by a grant from the Department for Education in Northern Ireland (DENI) with which we also bought new outdoor play equipment for the children.

In 2007, with the help of a grant from Strabane Local Strategy Partnership, we embarked on the large project of upgrading our grounds and outdoor play area. Phase 1 was completed in October 2007 and included a cycle path, shed and a landscaped area with flowers and shrubs. (see pictures below)

Sow and Grow

Our project for this coming year will be our Sow and Grow Project which we will be starting very soon. The plot of waste land (pictured below) is where our project begins. As you can see from the picture it looks desolate and overgrown. We have received a grant from Children in Need for this project and we ask you to watch this space for updates on our progress.

The work begins on Monday 18th January 2010.

The Staff and Management Committee are very grateful to all our funders without whom we wouldn't be able to progress in a way that is for the benefit for the children who attend our playgroup.
